In January, we held an intensive 2-day off-site training program at Caroline Springs, Melbourne, with 19 account managers from NZ, SA, VIC, NSW, and QLD. The focus? Enhancing skills to better serve our customers working on critical infrastructure programs across Australia and NZ. From tackling complex problems to improving communication of solutions, our team sharpened their ability to create real value for clients. A big thank you to the Australian Institute of Management @aimcomau for facilitating the training and helping us cultivate a growth mindset that will continue to benefit our clients moving forward.
Meet Ngaire, our Employee of the Month! In a traditionally male-dominated industry, she’s breaking barriers and inspiring inclusion every day. Growing up surrounded by diggers and trucks, Ngaire would sit with her brothers who were operators and always knew she wanted to be part of the action. Now, at TDG, she drives trucks, operates diggers, and enjoys connecting with people across New Zealand. She shares her journey to motivate others of all ages to explore opportunities in non-traditional fields. This International Women’s Day, let’s celebrate Ngaire and all the incredible women who inspire inclusion and pave the way for a more diverse workforce and world.
Thrilled to announce that TDG now has a fully qualified trainer and assessor, with Qasim Akbar being awarded his Cert IV in Training and Assessing this month!
Congratulations, Miriama! We’re proud to celebrate Miriama Tareguci on achieving her New Zealand Certificate in Infrastructure Works (Level 4 – Single Site Supervision)! This certification is a significant milestone, recognising her expertise in project management and construction site operations. Miriama’s journey with Hydrotech began in 2017 as a CCTV Offsider. Her dedication and drive saw her step into a CCTV Operator role before relocating to Wellington in 2021. Seeking growth, she embraced new challenges, earning a promotion to Site Engineer—a role that paved the way for her latest achievement. Balancing work and study is no small feat, but with determination and strong mentorship at TDG, Miriama excelled in her certification. She’s now setting her sights even higher, currently working as a CCTV Data Reviewer while pursuing a Diploma in Civil Engineering. Join us in celebrating Miriama’s success—we can’t wait to see what’s next for her!
Congratulations to Charlene Stofberg for completing the New Zealand Certificate in Infrastructure Works Projects at levels 4 and 5! Seeing her progression from an administrative role to a qualified Project Engineer is truly inspiring. Well done on this impressive achievement!
Phil O’Brien in our Geelong branch, Victoria, has reached a fantastic 20-year anniversary of working with TDG Environmental.
