Our leadership team uses their skills and experience to guide TDG to deliver the ultimate outcomes for our clients – every time. The team implements our strategic objectives and ensures that, from to top down, we always operate with these in mind. This includes prioritising safety, quality, and the environment, and ensuring we’re at the forefront of innovations in the industry.

 

Across our 30+ years in business, our executives have built a team of experienced professionals, so that we can be sure we’re delivering the services you need, and getting it done right the first time. Our people know the ins and outs of the industry and will learn the background of your business so they can work with you on the delivery of the solutions your business needs.

Jochen Behr

Chief Executive Officer

Jochen Behr is an experienced executive with a successful track record as a Divisional Head/CEO for global blue-chip corporations. He specialises in developing and implementing strategies to enhance operational efficiency and drive business growth.

 

Jochen’s accomplishments include increasing revenue and profits across European and Australian operations, turning around underperforming business units, and leading market entries into new regions such as Russia. He is adept at building and supporting high-performing teams, ensuring the sustained success of the organisations he has served.

 

Prior to his current role, Jochen gained valuable experience as a Commercial Director, working as a Strategic Consultant, and earning credentials as a Six Sigma Master Black Belt. His diverse background and proven leadership skills make him a highly effective executive in the competitive global business landscape.

Adam Zines

Chief Financial Officer

Appointed in 2024, Adam leads the company’s Finance, IT, and Fleet Management portfolios. Adam is an active and highly qualified finance professional and leader, with extensive experience in leading the Finance and IT functions across public (ASX listed), private company, and private equity-owned companies, across multiple sectors. He has a deep operational involvement with a ‘hands-on’ approach to financial management.

 

Adam holds a Bachelor of Business Degree with a Finance/Accounting Major from the University of Technology, Sydney. He is a Fellow of CPA Australia and has completed a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment through FINSIA.

 

Chris Feil

Group General Manager, Legal and Governance

Chris Feil is the Group General Manager of Legal and Governance at TDG Environmental, with over 20 years of legal and governance experience gained in various senior management positions across Utilities and Waste Management sectors in Australia and New Zealand.

 

Chris brings a unique perspective and commitment to the principles and delivery of corporate good governance and strategy development, particularly concerning environmental social and governance priorities and reporting.

 

Chris holds both an Economics and Laws degree (Hons) from the University of Sydney.

Karen Pink

Chief People Officer

Karen has over 20 years of experience in strategic and operational human resource management across various industries in the APAC region.

 

As the Chief People Officer, she collaborates with the CEO and Leadership Team to develop and execute strategic people initiatives that align with the company’s vision and values.

 

Karen is dedicated to creating a world-class employee experience and nurturing a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence in the Waste Management Industry.

Anthony Fehring

Head of HSEQ

Anthony is the Head of HSEQ at TDG, with over 12 years of experience in industrial and utility services, waste, and recycling.

 

He brings a practical and flexible approach to HSEQ, focusing on supporting our field operators to better serve our customers.

His strengths lie in risk management, workers’ compensation, training, and legal obligations.

 

Anthony and his HSEQ team provide support, coaching, and technical advice to the TDG workforce to ensure the safe and sustainable delivery of services to our customers.

Gavin Amopiu

Group Development Manager

Gavin Amopiu is the Group Development Manager responsible for the sustainable growth of the TDG group while delivering the expectations of our customers.

 

Gavin has over 20 years of experience in infrastructure delivery in Australia and New Zealand. The majority of his experience is in delivering complex projects and programs within the water and wastewater sectors.

 

Gavin believes that communication, cohesion, and complementary skills are the cornerstone of high-performing teams, leading to excellence in delivery and customer experience. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering from Auckland and a Master of Laws from Melbourne.

Jesse Brown

General Manager, Business Development

Jesse Brown is the General Manager of Business Development at TDG, bringing over 15 years of experience in the waste and recycling sector. With a strong background in strategic development, Jesse is adept at identifying target markets and growth opportunities, as well as managing large-scale projects. His expertise lies in building and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships and modelling new business opportunities.
 
At TDG, Jesse is instrumental in driving strategic development and growth across the company’s portfolio, focusing on safety, compliance, financial performance, and business growth. He actively leads commercial opportunities and cultivates trusted relationships with TDG’s clients.
 
Jesse holds a Master of Business Management, a Master of Business Administration, a Six Sigma Black Belt, and a Graduate Certificate in Ecological Sustainable Development.

Damian Lindeberg

General Manager, QLD

Damian is the General Manager of QLD with over 12 years of experience in the industry.

 

He has demonstrated the ability to grow the business by prioritising safety and fostering a positive company culture.

 

He holds a strong importance in consistently displaying our core values at all levels of our business, including Respect for People, Managing by Fact, and Continuous Improvement. He encourages open and honest discussions to ensure that we all actively embody these values in our daily actions.

Shawn Turner

General Manager, NSW

Shawn is the General Manager of NSW with 30 years of extensive experience. He has worked his way up from hands-on roles to managing one of the largest teams in the country. His background has allowed him to share valuable knowledge and contribute significantly to the growth and development of the team.

 

One of Shawn’s greatest passions and strengths at TDG is his commitment to reducing stormwater pollution in waterways and landfill through innovative reuse strategies. This dedication not only aligns with environmental goals but also ensures a sustainable future for our communities.

Ben Richards

General Manager, VIC

As the General Manager of VIC at TDG, Ben leverages his industry skills developed over 20 years in the stormwater, sewer, civil, rail, and utilities sectors. He is well-versed in fleet and operational scheduling, client management to drive business growth, cost-saving initiatives, and innovation. By identifying new opportunities and implementing strategic initiatives, Ben helps enhance operational efficiency and increase profitability.

 

His collaborative approach ensures seamless coordination across departments, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.

 

Through Ben’s commitment to excellence and proactive problem-solving, he plays a crucial role in advancing TDG’s objectives and maintaining its competitive edge in the industry.

Galen Shanahan

General Manager, SA

Galen is the General Manager of SA with 14 years of experience in the Civil Construction industry.

He brings a wealth of industry knowledge and leadership experience to the TDG family.

 

His strategic vision and effective communication skills enable him to lead teams to success while fostering strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.

 

Galen’s dedication to excellence and passion for driving growth make him an invaluable asset to the TDG family, driving the company towards continued success and expansion in the South Australian market.

Paul Southen

General Manager, NZ

Paul is the Group General Manager for TDG Environmental in New Zealand, based in Auckland. He has over 20 years of experience in civil infrastructure construction, specialising in trenchless pipe construction, renewals, and civil construction.

 

Paul manages and coordinates TDG NZ, overseeing the delivery of projects for various local government agencies and private entities across New Zealand.

 

He is a qualified Civil Engineer and an effective communicator with exemplary planning skills, emphasising safety and environmental awareness.

Tiaan Reader

General Manager, Mainstream Recycling

Tiaan is an experienced leader in civil and environmental industries, currently serving as the General Manager at Mainstream Recycling. With over a decade of experience, Tiaan excels in managing complex projects, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering team cohesion to achieve organisational goals.

 

His expertise includes overseeing national recycling operations, leading the design and upgrades of waste treatment facilities, and establishing comprehensive environmental compliance frameworks.

 

Tiaan’s qualifications in Business and Administration, as well as engineering and safety, demonstrate his dedication to continuous professional development. His knowledge of environmental regulations and hands-on experience in construction and project management make him a key figure in advancing Mainstream Recycling’s mission of sustainable waste management.
