TDG Environmental was engaged to deliver a full clean and restoration of a heavily impacted siphon and associated pipeline network.
Works commenced with full site establishment, including traffic management, bypass pumping systems, scaffolding and safety infrastructure. Upon opening the chamber, the asset was found completely full of debris, sludge and contaminated material.
The team deployed vacuum trucks, pumps and filtration systems to safely remove liquids and debris while maintaining environmental compliance. High-pressure flushing was carried out across multiple sections of the pipeline, supported by repeated confined space entries to remove large debris that could not be extracted mechanically.
CCTV inspections were conducted progressively to assess cleanliness, identify defects and confirm completion. Works were delivered across day and night shifts to maintain productivity and manage live network conditions.
In addition to the CCTV works, our MSI/ Laser Profiling unit was deployed to assess the structural integrity of the pipe assets. This enables our client to make informed decisions about the lifespan and any deformations on the asset.
TDG successfully restored the siphon and pipeline network to full operational capacity, removing all sludge, debris and contaminants.
Final CCTV inspections confirmed the pipeline was clean, with only minor defects identified. The works ensured continued asset performance, reduced risk of future blockages, and protected surrounding infrastructure and environment.
